IN RE:
HB2709 by Turner (Relating to energy and efficiency conservation programs administered by the Texas Public Utility Commission.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Utilities Code to add certain energy use programs to the list of program options that the commission can consider for evaluation and utilities may implement to satisfy energy efficiency goals.

Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission, it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
