No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 392 of the Local Government Code to provide for judicial review of the termination of assistance by a housing authority under certain federal housing programs. Filing of a petition for judicial review would stay the termination if suit is filed not later than 30 days after the date of the termination decision by the housing authority becomes final. Review of the decision to terminate assistance would be by trial de novo.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal implication is anticipated.
