No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Government Code and establish a 26-member Commission on Immigration and Migration, an advisory commission, and be staffed by the Office of the Attorney General. The Commission would meet quarterly and at other times as directed by the Governor. In addition, the bill would create a pilot project for migrant worker visas. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
