No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to establish a deferral program for Driver Responsibility Program (DRP) surcharges for Driving While License Invalid or Without Financial Responsibility assessed against active duty military members. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. No significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
