No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The provisions of the bill require the Higher Education Coordinating Board (Board) to include in its five-year master plan an assessment of the adequacy of opportunities for graduates of medical schools in this state to enter graduate medical education in this state.

The Board estimates they could implement the provisions of the bill with current resources.

The bill takes effect September 1, 2011.
