LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 10, 2011

TO:
Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education

FROM:
John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2911 by Branch (Relating to guaranteed student loans and alternative education loans.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various sections of the Education Code and Government Code relating to guaranteed student loans and alternative education loans.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Because of the fact that the Authorities would be local governmental entities, it is assumed that the fiscal impact to the state would be insignificant and that an authority would obligate its finances only within the limits of the bonds issued.
