No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to State Bar rules adopted or amended by the Supreme Court. The proposed amendments would implement additional requirements and procedures to be used when a proposed rule or amendment is established by the Supreme Court. The bill would also prohibit the State Bar from taking a position on the rule or the amendment. No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
