No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow public or private institutions of higher education and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board access to criminal history record information of applicants for a security-sensitive position as defined in the bill. The bill would take effect immediately if it received enough votes, otherwise it would take effect September 1, 2011.  The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board indicate that no fiscal impact is anticipated from the bill.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
