HB3320 by Hunter (Relating to costs related to the towing and storage of a motor vehicle for certain law enforcement purposes.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code and the Transportation Code to remove the requirement of a law enforcement agency to pay costs for the towing and storage of a motor vehicle used for evidentiary or examination purposes. This subsection applies only to a motor vehicle used in the commission of an offense under this section that results in an accident with property damage or personal injury.
 
The bill would repeal Article 18.23 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
