FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 18, 2011

TO:
Honorable Dan Branch, Chair, House Committee on Higher Education

FROM:
John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3360 by Aycock (Relating to the application and renewal of a certificate of authorization in Texas for Out-of-State educational institutions and to the imposition of fees.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 61.305(c) of the Education Code relates to the application and renewal of certificates of authority. It is estimated that any additional revenue collected by the Higher Education Coordinating Board from the new fee structure would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
