HB3370 by King, Susan (Relating to the renewal of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant license issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the renewal of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant license.  The bill would allow the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE) to set fees relating to the renewal of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant license or for out-of-state practitioners at certain levels.  The bill would create a reinstatement fee and requirements for individuals with licenses expired for one year or longer.  The ECPTOTE would be required to adopt rules and fees for these licensees not later than December 1, 2011.

Based on information provided by the ECPTOTE, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
