IN RE:	HB3379 by Shelton (Relating to the appointment of members of the Correctional Managed Health Care Committee, and the authority of the Correctional Managed Health Care Committee to direct the allocation of legislative appropriations for the purpose of providing health care to the persons confined by the department.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 501, to increase the number of public members appointed to the Correctional Managed Health Care Committee from three to six, and to require the committee to consider cost allocation proposals that would guarantee compliance with the amounts appropriated for health care.  The Texas Department of Criminal Justice anticipates no significant fiscal impact from the bill.
