No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Health and Safety Code, Section 166 to make multiple changes to the Advance Directives Act relating to the rights of patients and families to make decisions regarding life-sustaining treatment.

It is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions in the bill (such as rule-making) could be absorbed within existing agency resources.
