No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit a governmental entity, including a municipality, county, hospital district, water district, river authority, conservation and reclamation district, or defense base development authority from awarding a construction manager-at-risk contract to an agent of the governmental entity or a business in which a governmental agent has an ownership interest.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
