HB3839 by Giddings (Relating to grounds for modification of child support.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code and allow a child support order to be modified if the new child support amount differs by 10 percent or $50 from the current order. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
