No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill requires the board of trustees of each school district to implement and administer a policy for the care of students with anaphylaxis based on guidelines developed by the commissioner of the Department of State Health Services in consultation with an ad hoc committee appointed by the commissioner.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the provisions in this bill can be absorbed within existing agency resources.
This act would take effect immediately if it receives two-thirds vote of all members of each house. If it does not receive the necessary votes it would take effect September 1, 2011.
Local Government Impact
No significant costs are anticipated for implementing or aligning school district policies for the care of students at risk for anaphylaxis.
