SB77 by Nelson (Relating to certain requirements for certain sponsoring organizations and other institutions participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the Department of Agriculture to obtain criminal history record information from the Department of Public Safety, or independently, for each principal of a nongovernmental entity that is a participant or applicant for participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.  The bill would require sponsoring organizations in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to maintain a performance bond.

The Department of Agriculture and Department of Public Safety indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within each agency’s existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.
