SB150 by West (Relating to granting limited state law enforcement authority to special agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and to updating certain references related to the grant of that authority to other federal law enforcement personnel.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to grant limited state law enforcement authority to special agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and to updating certain references related to the grant of that authority to other federal law enforcement personnel. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education indicates that they anticipate that the bill will have no fiscal impact. The bill will take immediate effect if it receives a two-thirds vote in both Houses of the Legislature, otherwise it will take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
