No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend provisions related to disclosure of financial information of grain warehouse operators by the Department of Agriculture; modify bond requirements for grain warehouse operators; and authorize the Department of Agriculture to suspend a warehouse operator’s license under certain circumstances.

The Department of Agriculture indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency’s existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.
