IN RE:
SB265 by Zaffirini (Relating to training for employees and operators of certain child-care facilities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Human Resources Code, Section 42, relating to the regulation of certain facilities, homes, and agencies that provide childcare services by requiring all training for listed, registered and licensed child-care providers to be conducted by persons meeting certain qualifications and that it should be appropriately targeted and relevant to the age of the children who will receive care from the individual receiving training as outlined in the bill.

The Department of Family and Protective Services indicates that costs associated with implementing the bill can be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect January 1, 2012.
