No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would extend the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Texas Water Development Board (TWDB)'s critical groundwater problem evaluation period from 25 years to 50 years. Passage of the bill is not expected to result in any significant costs to the TCEQ and TWDB.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
