No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Property Code to authorize a hospital or emergency medical services provider to file a lien with the county clerk. If a hospital or emergency medical services provider seeks to file a notice of lien with the county clerk, a written notice of the lien via certified mail with return receipt requested must be sent on or before the date the notice is filed.
