No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to grant limited state law enforcement authority to special agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Social Security Administration and to updating certain references related to the grant of that authority to other federal law enforcement personnel. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education indicates that no fiscal impact is anticipated from the bill. The bill takes immediate effect if it receives a two-thirds vote of all elected members to each House; otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2011.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
