The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the regulation of law enforcement officers by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education; adding continuing education requirements for county jailers and police chiefs. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education indicates that no fiscal implication is anticipated.
