No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the regulation of law enforcement officers by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education; adding continuing education requirements for police chiefs. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education indicates that no fiscal implication is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
