SB646 by Nichols (Relating to the continuation and functions of the Texas Forest Service.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the creation of Incident Management Teams by the Texas Forest Service. The bill would authorize the agency to compensate volunteer fire departments for their assistance in wildfire fighting operations and would require the agency to develop and update a wildfire protection plan.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
