LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 12, 2011

TO:
Honorable Rob Eissler, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB778 by Williams (Relating to the inclusion of professional staff who educate students with disabilities on district-level and campus-level planning and decision-making committees.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  A school district board of trustees would be required to adopt policies providing for the inclusion of district and campus-level planning and decision-making processes of professional staff who are primarily responsible for educating students with disabilities.  Adoption and implementation of the policies necessary to comply with the bill's provisions would not be anticipated to significantly increase school district costs.
