No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code and the Labor Code relating to judicial review in district court of certain workers' compensation disputes.

Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Insurance, the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, the State Office of Administrative Hearings, and the State Office of Risk Management, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within existing agency resources. Based on the analysis provided by the Texas A&M University System and the University of Texas System, it is assumed that implementation of the bill will have no fiscal impact on these agencies.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
