No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Section 61.059 of the Education Code by prohibiting the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board from including semester credit hours in its instruction and operations formula recommendations for dual credit courses unless the those hours are earned through: 1) a course in the core curriculum; 2) a career and technical education course that applies to a certificate or associate's degree at the providing institution; and, 3) a foreign language course.
