IN RE:	SB851 by Zaffirini (Relating to a uniform deadline for student financial assistance for public institutions of higher education other than public junior colleges.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, the Higher Education Coordinating Board would provide a uniform priority application deadline for applications for financial assistance for an academic year. The Board would consult with financial aid personnel at institutions of higher education in adopting rules providing for the deadline. Any costs associated with implementing the bill would be absorbed within current resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
