No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the approval of designs, plans, and specifications of industrialized housing and buildings allowing for the Commission to adopt another method of indicating that the designs, plans, and specification of industrialized housing and buildings satisfy the requirements of Subsection (a)(1) and are approved in accordance with Subsection (a)(2) if the study conducted under Section 1202.1551 recommends the method. The amendment to the occupations code allowing the Commission to conduct a study under the provisions of the bill would expire September 1, 2014.

Based on the analysis of the Department of Licensing and Regulation, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
