IN RE:
SB901 by Hegar (Relating to approval from the Department of State Health Services for disposal of ambulances purchased with certain grant funds.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Section 773.122 and Section 780.004 of the Health and Safety Code to require that a grant recipient, who purchases an ambulance using 100% grant funds from the department, cannot dispose of that ambulance before the 4th anniversary of purchasing that ambulance without the department’s prior approval. It is assumed any costs associated with this new requirement can be absorbed within existing agency resources.
