No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to define an “active duty state attorney” and would require a court to excuse such attorney from a court appearance or attendance provided the attorney has delegated the responsibilities and notified the presiding judge.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
