No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make a copy of an application for a ballot to be voted by mail not available for public inspection until the first business day after election, except to the voter seeking to verify that the information pertaining to the voter is accurate. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would be effective September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
