The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the practice of certain regulated professions.
It is assumed that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill for the Department of Insurance, Office of the Attorney General, the Texas Medical Board, the Board of Dental Examiners, the Texas Board of Nursing, the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners, the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners, the Department of State Health Services, the Optometry Board, the Board of Examiners of Psychologists, the Board of Pharmacy, the Funeral Service Commission, and the Health Professions Council can be accomplished by utilizing existing resources within the agencies.
