IN RE:
SB1050 by West (Relating to the collection of certain information on a birth certificate.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 192.002, Health and Safety Code, to require that certain data on births by labor induction or cesarean section be collected under the confidential section of a birth certificate. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

The Department of State Health Services estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
