No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill adds a section to the Education Code that permits academic institutions eligible for the TEXAS Grant program to solicit and to accept gifts from public and private sources to fund these grants for students attending the institution.  Institutions are further allowed to engage in naming and sponsorship activites related to these solicitations and gifts.  This new activity can be completed with existing resources and imposes no significant fiscal requirements upon the eligible institutions.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
