IN RE:	SB1070 by Jackson (Relating to the composition of the permanent advisory committee to advise the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding the implementation of the ad valorem tax exemption for pollution control property.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add a requirement that at least one of the Tax Relief for Pollution Control Property Advisory Committee members be a representative of a school district which is subject to wealth equalization requirements under Education Code, Chapter 41. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) would be required to appoint the new member(s) as soon as practicable after the act would become law on September 1, 2011 or immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house.

 

Passage of the bill is not expected to result in significant fiscal implications to the TCEQ.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
