SB1114 by Wentworth (Relating to the regulation of driver training schools and instructors.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend policies related to driver education programs overseen by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), including requiring that certificates issued by driver education schools include an identifying certificate number that could be used to verify authenticity and that applicants for driver education instructor licenses submit national criminal history record information for review.

Any administrative cost to TEA associated with the provisions of the bill is not expected to be significant and is assumed to be offset with revenue from fees authorized in the bill.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
