IN RE:	SB1148 by Wentworth (Relating to the authority of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to authorize certain injection wells that transect or terminate in the Edwards Aquifer.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would provide the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) the authority to authorize injection of desalinated water concentrate in a well that transects or terminates in the saline portion of the Edwards Aquifer, as defined by the bill.

 

Passage of the bill is not expected to result in significant fiscal implications to the TCEQ. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
