SB1199 by Patrick (Relating to a ballot by mail single language requirement.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the early voting ballot application form to include on an application for a ballot to be voted by mail, a box for the applicant to choose the printed ballot language, along with a notice that if the applicant fails to choose a language, then the ballot will be delivered in English. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect if it receives a vote of two-thirds or on September 1, 2011.
