SB1241 by West (Relating to authorizing certain courts to access information in the juvenile justice information system.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to allow the Department of Public Safety to release information from the juvenile justice information system to a county, justice, or municipal court exercising jurisdiction over truancy cases.  To the extent the bill would amend procedures in truancy cases, no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
