No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to provide that when a judge does not take action on a magistrate's recommendations within three working days, the recommendations are adopted by the judge. The bill would also give a magistrate the same judicial immunity as a district judge. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures and immunity provisions, no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
