No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to permit the Department of Public Safety to issue a driver’s license to a peace officer that contains an alternative address than the actual address of the peace officer. The bill includes provisions regarding the procedures required of issuing a driver’s license with an alternative address to a peace officer. The bill would take effect September 1. 2011. No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.
