No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to criminal offenses regarding the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages by a minor and providing alcoholic beverages to a minor, including exemptions for certain minor requesting medical assistance for others and penalties for certain alcohol related offenses.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.  The Department of Public Safety and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission anticipate no significant fiscal impact to the State from this bill. 


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
