No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Utilities Code to add energy use programs to the list of programs that the Public Utility Commission may approve and a utility may choose to implement to satisfy energy efficiency goals established in Section 39.905 (a) of the Utilities Code.
Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
