IN RE: | SB1560 by Ellis (Relating to liability of certain local emergency management or homeland security organizations.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Civil Practices and Remedies Code to define certain local emergency management or homeland security organizations as “emergency service organizations”, as defined by the Code. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote of all the members in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the State from the bill.
