No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the Water Development Board to consider additional information on applications for financial assistance for water supply and sewer service projects in economically distressed areas.

Based on information provided by the Water Development Board, the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
