No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a county selling real property presumed to be for residential use to publish a public notice to be printed in both English and Spanish; in 14-point boldface type or 14-point uppercase typewritten letters; and be read aloud at the sale in English and Spanish by an agent of the county. The public notice must include a statement stating if a property does not have water or wastewater services, then it may not qualify for residential use.
