IN RE:
SB1790 by Patrick (Relating to distributing or prescribing abortion-inducing drugs; providing an administrative penalty.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill adds new Subchapter D related to abortion-inducing drugs to Chapter 171, Health and Safety Code. The Texas Medical Board would be authorized to assess an administrative penalty for violations of Section 171.083. It is assumed that the number of violations would be so small as to not have a significant fiscal impact.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
